Aimtron To Build 50,000 IIoT And AI Devices For Vanix

From smart factories to global exports, Aimtron’s deal with Vanix to build IIoT and AI devices highlights ‘Make-in-India’ push, says the company.

Aimtron Electronics Limited has announced it will manufacture 50,000 Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) devices for Vanix Technologies. The order follows a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in December 2024 and represents the first phase of a long-term collaboration.

Under the agreement, Aimtron will scale production over the next five years to deliver between 250,000 and 2 million IoT devices. Production of the first batch will begin in October 2025, with delivery scheduled before the year-end.

According to the company, the move supports India’s push towards electronics self-reliance and the broader adoption of smart manufacturing. Aimtron also confirmed that the ramp-up will generate new jobs as facilities expand to meet demand.

Mukesh Vasani, Founder and Chairman of Aimtron Electronics, said the partnership aligns with the government’s Aatmanirbhar goals. “Together, we aim to bring cutting-edge IIoT and AI devices to market while contributing to India’s vision of becoming a global electronics hub,” he said.

Dr Ashwani Rana, CEO of Vanix Technologies, said the tie-up demonstrates a commitment to developing scalable, world-class solutions. “By combining Aimtron’s manufacturing expertise with our innovation, we are addressing India’s digital infrastructure needs and positioning ourselves as a global leader in the IIoT space,” he added.

India’s IIoT market is expected to reach $7.12 billion this year, with a growth forecast at 21.18% CAGR to $15.35 billion by 2029. Analysts say demand is being driven by automation, smart factories, and advanced digital infrastructure.

Founded in 2011, Aimtron Electronics has facilities in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru, with a parent company in Chicago. Its services span electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, and system integration, catering to sectors such as automotive, aerospace, medtech, power, robotics, and IoT.
