Panasonic is showcasing autonomous factory tech in India, aiming to reduce skill dependency and boost smart, connected manufacturing.
Panasonic Smart Factory Solutions India, a division of Panasonic Life Solutions India, presented its latest smart manufacturing technologies at Productronica India 2026.h
The Company, located at Booth H01 in hall 15, displayed its Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line up, including advanced modular placement machines like NPM-GP/L, NPM-GH, and NPM-TT2.
Along with this, Panasonic showcased a complete end-to-end manufacturing line setup by integrating inspection systems from Koh Young Technology, reflow ovens, and nozzle cleaning and inspection solutions. The live demo setup at IEML, Greater Noida, gave a full picture of a connected, automated production environment.
Panasonic is positioning these solutions across industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, telecom, industrial electronics, EMS, and semiconductors.

According to Osamu Shimada, Deputy Managing Director at PSFSIN, India is becoming an important manufacturing hub globally. He highlighted that Panasonic’s SMT platforms are designed are suitable for both domestic and export-focused production.
Vishal Dahiya, Director of Factory Automation Systems at PSFSIN, said that the company is focusing on platforms like PanaCIM and IoT-enabled MirAIe ProFactory. “This helps reduce skill dependency, enhance consistency, and improve throughput, while enabling faster changeovers and predictive decision-making”, he further adds.

The showcased products show Panasonic’s is shifting towards fully automated, data-driven factories that requires less human dependency.
