Driving a ₹100 billion investment by 2030 to build a semiconductor plant in Raipur, AEIM will transform India’s chip ambitions.
Semiconductor materials and electronic components manufacturer AEIM will invest ₹100 billion in its Raipur based facility by 2030, the company announced on Monday. The project marks one of central India’s largest high tech manufacturing commitments and aims to position Raipur as a major semiconductor hub.
According to a regulatory filing, AEIM has received 11.28 acres of prime industrial land from the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRDA) in Kosala Industrial Park, where it will build its semiconductor materials manufacturing facility. Construction will begin immediately using advanced post tensioned slab technology to fast track development, with the first phase targeted for completion by May 2026.
The company said the investment is supported by Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy, which offers up to 40 percent capital subsidy. AEIM Executive Director Vishaal Nandam said the project will generate more than 4000 high skill jobs, nurture engineering talent, and create significant regional economic impact.
The upcoming facility will manufacture advanced semiconductor materials such as sapphire ingots, wafers, and next generation electronic substrates. Commercial production is expected to start in Q3 2026, the company said.
With this initiative, Chennai based Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Limited (AEIML) aims to strengthen India’s semiconductor ecosystem amid growing national efforts to boost domestic chip manufacturing and reduce reliance on imports.
