Foraying into Europe with a ₹38 million automotive box-build order, Aimtron signals global ambitions as revenues could multiply under shifting trade and supply-chain dynamics.
Aimtron Electronics Limited has entered the European market, winning its first box-build contract from a major original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The company confirmed receipt of an initial order valued at about €359,000 (approximately ₹38 million) to supply high-value box-build assemblies to customers in the automotive and industrial sectors across Europe.
The OEM, whose name has not been disclosed, has production facilities in Spain, supplies global clients and operates to stringent regulatory and quality frameworks.
Although modest in size, Aimtron views this order as a milestone in demonstrating its ability to comply with European standards for safety, traceability, and quality control.
The company expects the partnership to grow substantially, with management indicating that revenues from the programme could increase to three or four times the current order value by the 2027 financial year, subject to the rollout of follow-on projects.
The timing of the deal is also seen as favourable, as the recently announced India–Europe Free Trade Agreement is expected to support cross-border manufacturing partnerships.
“This engagement reflects that readiness and provides a clear pathway to scale programs across European end-markets,” said Sneh Shah, Whole-time Director at Aimtron, adding that the European automotive sector requires rigorous process discipline and consistent execution.
The European entry follows Aimtron’s move into North America through the acquisition of a US-based electronics design and manufacturing business. Headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, Aimtron Electronics was established in 2011 and began manufacturing operations the following year.
