Just hours before announcing its Q4 results, Bharat Electronics Ltd secures ₹5.72 billion in fresh orders for cutting-edge defence and AI systems.
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna defence public sector enterprise, has received fresh orders worth ₹5.72 billion for a range of advanced defence technologies and systems.
The contracts include the supply of integrated drone detection and interdiction systems (IDDIS), software-defined radios (SDR), and data communication units (DCU). These systems will support attack weapon platforms, AI-driven solutions for naval vessels, simulators, communication tools, jammers, spares, and related services.
The company disclosed these developments in an exchange filing, stating that the orders were secured since its last announcement on April 7, 2025. BEL’s order book has now reached ₹716.5 billion as of April 1, underlining its position in the defence manufacturing sector.
The announcement comes just hours before BEL is scheduled to release its financial results for the fourth quarter of FY2024–25. According to a report by the Financial Expess, the firm is expected to report steady performance following a strong third quarter, during which it posted a 47.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase in profit after tax, reaching almost ₹13.16 billion.
Its revenue from operations in Q3 rose 38.6 per cent to approximately ₹57.7 billion compared to the same period in the previous year.
BEL continues to benefit from India’s push for indigenous defence manufacturing. The company’s growing portfolio in advanced electronics and defence systems positions it as a key contributor to national security initiatives and technology innovation in the sector.
