With overseas demand strengthening, HFCL has secured a ₹1.06 billion optical fibre cable export order, adding momentum to its expanding international business pipeline.
Telecom equipment manufacturer HFCL has secured an export order valued at US$11.07 million (around ₹1.06 billion) to supply optical fibre cables to an international customer, according to a regulatory filing.
As per PTI’s report, the order has been received through the company’s wholly owned overseas subsidiary and relates to the supply of optical fibre cables for an unnamed global client. HFCL said deliveries under the contract are scheduled to be completed by August 2026.
In its filing, the company stated that the customer is a recognised international player, but did not disclose further details about the project or the end-use market.
The latest contract adds to HFCL’s export business, which accounted for a significant share of its optical fibre cable production during the last financial year. The company said exports represented nearly 70 per cent of its total optical fibre cable output in FY26, indicating continued demand from overseas markets.
HFCL has been expanding its international presence in fibre connectivity products as global telecom operators and infrastructure providers continue investments in broadband and network expansion projects.
Earlier in FY26, the company had announced securing a long-term global supply agreement for optical fibre cables valued at approximately US$1.1 billion (around ₹101.59 billion). The contract is expected to support revenue generation over multiple years and provide visibility for future business operations.
The newly announced export order further strengthens the company’s overseas order pipeline within its optical fibre cable segment.
