With a new Advanced AI and Cybersecurity Centre in Hubballi, Karnataka. Infosys adds to its tech innovation global network.
Infosys has inaugurated a new Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology in Hubballi, Karnataka. The facility is part of its global Living Labs network, now comprising over 12 centres, and will serve clients across industries including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and retail.
The new lab is expected to support the company’s distributed innovation strategy while contributing to north Karnataka’s growing technology ecosystem. It will focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, SAP, and engineering services.
Previous labs, such as the London Living Lab, offer enterprise clients demonstrations of Infosys’ AI-first platform Topaz and its cloud suite Cobalt. It has also invested in “Living Labs” across Melbourne and Sydney, where startups and enterprises access sandbox environments to test AI and cybersecurity solutions.
According to company disclosures, over 200 startups and more than 100 enterprises have engaged with these centres globally. These labs support rapid prototyping, client co-creation, and industry-specific solution development, including applications in digital banking and AI-led engineering.
The Hubballi Center aligns with Karnataka’s broader digital infrastructure push under its ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ initiative. Provide employment in the IT sector in Mandya, Mysuru, Bengaluru South, and Davanagere districts. The State has exported IT products, with Hubballi contributing ₹35 billion, Belagavi ₹30 billion, Mysuru ₹50 billion, and Tumakuru ₹15 billion.
