Claiming to support India’s transition to Industry 5.0, component distributor Mouser Electronics has added new products in its industrial automation portfolio.
Bengaluru-based electronics component distributor Mouser Electronics has expanded its industrial automation product range. According to the company’s recent release, this supports the transition to ‘Industry 5.0,’ blending human creativity with technological innovation in manufacturing.
The key additions to Mouser’s portfolio include the PE2100U from ASUS IoT, a fanless edge computer powered by Intel® 13th Gen. Core™-I processors. The device provides multiple connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wired connections, along with various video outputs, making it suitable for industrial control applications.
Mouser has also introduced Siemens’ LOGO! 8.4 logic modules designed to simplify automation tasks. These cloud-enabled modules are suited for predictive maintenance and agriculture with LOGO! Soft Comfort software, allowing easy configuration and management of multiple programs for improved efficiency.
Mouser’s other additions include Banner Engineering’s K50Z sensor, which uses 3D time-of-flight technology to detect objects up to two meters away without needing external controllers or lighting. It is suitable for industrial environments and features a wide beam angle and dual-zone functionality.
Another new addition, TE Connectivity’s SLC Safety Light Curtain series also provides operator safety with adjustable resolution options from 14 to 90 millimetres, capable of detecting anything from fingers to whole bodies, ensuring secure access control in industrial environments.
Mouser has also developed an educational hub offering further resources on Industry 4.0 and 5.0 to support engineers, designers, and system integrators associated with the Indian electronics Industry. This includes articles, eBooks, and guides focusing on topics like the IIoT and digital factory advancements, helping professionals stay ahead in the rapidly evolving field.
