NVIDIA appoints former Goldman Sachs Vice Chairman Suzanne Nora Johnson to its board, bolstering leadership strength as the company pushes ahead with its next phase of AI-driven growth.
NVIDIA has announced the appointment of Suzanne Nora Johnson to its board of directors, effective July 13, 2026, further strengthening the company’s leadership as it advances its artificial intelligence strategy.
Johnson brings decades of experience across finance, technology, healthcare, and public policy. She previously served as Vice Chairman at Goldman Sachs, where she spent more than 20 years in senior leadership roles, including Chair of the Global Markets Institute, Head of Global Research, and Head of Global Healthcare. Upon joining NVIDIA’s board, she is also expected to become a member of the company’s Audit Committee.
Welcoming the appointment, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang highlighted Johnson’s broad global leadership experience and strategic insight, noting that her expertise will support the company as it navigates opportunities emerging in the AI era.
Johnson, 68, holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. She currently serves on the board of Pfizer Inc., where she chairs the Audit Committee and contributes to both the Executive and Regulatory & Compliance Committees. She recently stepped down as Board Chair of Intuit Inc. after nearly two decades on its board.
Following her appointment, NVIDIA’s board will expand to 11 members starting July 13, 2026, reflecting the company’s continued focus on strengthening governance and strategic oversight during a period of rapid technological growth.
