Weeks after its Mumbai debut, Tesla drives into Delhi’s Aerocity with its first NCR showroom.
Tesla has launched its second showroom in India, an 8,200 sq ft facility at Worldmark 3 in Delhi’s Aerocity. This is just weeks after its debut in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. The new outlet marks Tesla’s first in the National Capital Region and reinforces its push into the Indian market.
The US-based electric vehicle giant opened the experience centre on August 11 under Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd. Located in Aerocity’s hospitality district near Indira Gandhi International Airport, the space has been leased for nine years from Oak Infrastructure Pvt Ltd at ₹210 per sq ft, according to documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
Tesla will pay a monthly rent of ₹1.722 million, with the sublease commencing on March 15, 2025. A 120-day fit-out period will precede rent payments, which begin on July 13, 2025. The agreement includes a three-year lock-in, a 15% rent escalation every three years, and common area maintenance (CAM) charges of ₹33.5 per sq ft per month.
The lease also secures 10 parking slots at ₹6,000 per month each. The sublease deed was registered on July 30.
Industry observers see the Aerocity opening as a strategic move to tap into a high-footfall commercial and luxury hospitality zone, catering to premium EV buyers. The move follows increased anticipation around Tesla’s India entry, with the company expected to introduce its models for sale in the country in the near future.
