Okaya EV has successfully commissioned high-capacity EV chargers for the Ayodhya Water Metro Project. This project has an agenda to increase religious tourism in the city. It represents a crucial step towards sustainable and efficient transportation.
The strategically positioned stations are equipped with 150 kWh CCS2 Super-Fast EV chargers, and they play a crucial role in bolstering the Water Metro service, which operates between Guptar Ghat and Naya Ghat.
These environmentally friendly boats are specifically designed to accommodate up to 50 passengers, offering a comfortable and sustainable mode of transportation. The journey by road between these two ghats takes approximately 40 minutes due to numerous detours. However, introducing the water metro will reduce travel time by half an hour, allowing passengers to enjoy a picturesque cruise along the Saryu River.
Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL) is the driving force behind the Ayodhya Water Metro Project, overseeing its successful execution. The upcoming phase of the Water Metro Project will involve the installation of Okaya EV fast chargers in Varanasi, further contributing to the expansion of cost-effective and environmentally-friendly transportation initiatives in the region.
