India’s First Portable Liquid-Cooled E-Scooter Battery Unveiled By Bounce Infinity & Clean Electric

The efficient thermal management system of the liquid-cooled battery prevents overheating, thus improving both the safety and longevity of the battery.

Bounce Infinity has collaborated with Clean Electric to introduce India’s first portable liquid-cooled battery technology for electric scooters, prominently featured in the Bounce Infinity E1 model. This breakthrough technology delivers a powerful combination of extended driving range, accelerated charging times, and superior battery life, thereby redefining the electric vehicle (EV) standards in the nation.

The technology ensures even temperature distribution throughout the 140 cells in the battery pack, which can extend the battery’s lifespan by 30-50% over conventional air-cooled batteries.

The Bounce Infinity E1, attractively priced at INR 99,210 (ex-showroom), now comes equipped with an advanced battery system. This system assures a practical driving range exceeding 100 kilometres, effectively overcoming one of the major barriers to EV adoption—range anxiety. Additionally, its innovative liquid-cooling mechanism enables rapid charging, with the battery reaching 80% capacity in merely 45 to 50 minutes via a standard 15 amp household plug.

Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO & Co-Founder of Bounce Infinity, highlighted the importance of their latest innovation. He explained that their aim is to improve everyone’s accessibility and convenience of electric vehicles (EVs). The introduction of portable liquid-cooled battery technology enhances performance and safety while also making the charging process easier. This allows the batteries to be used at any standard plug point, potentially transforming electric mobility throughout India.

This partnership with Clean Electric has produced a battery that not only excels in range and charging speed but also raises the bar for safety and durability. The battery incorporates a 5-layer safety protocol, which includes cell-level fusing and a sophisticated master-slave BMS architecture similar to those used in the aviation industry, guaranteeing exceptional safety standards for users.

Akash Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of Clean Electric, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting that their collaboration with Bounce Infinity represents a major advancement in reshaping the global electric scooter landscape. He noted that they are launching an innovative battery technology aimed at providing durable, safe, and efficient performance, which is specially adapted for the unique requirements of the Indian market.

As part of their commitment to sustainable transportation, the battery components are recyclable and meet international environmental standards, maintaining affordability. Additionally, the partnership is set to launch the Long Range e1++ model later this year, which will feature a secondary battery to double the range and will support universal Type 6 Public DC charging standards.
