CleanMax Alliance With Apple To Boost Renewable Energy In India

These installations are anticipated to reduce approximately 207,000 tons of CO2 emissions over their operational lifespan.

CleanMax announced a significant joint venture with technology giant Apple. This collaboration marks a major initiative to enhance renewable energy projects across India, contributing to the country’s ambitious green energy objectives.

As a part of this joint venture, the company has established 14.4 MW of rooftop solar installations over six industrial sites in India. These installations are projected to reduce approximately 207,000 tons of CO2 emissions throughout their lifespan, highlighting Apple’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The partnership also focuses on providing essential renewable energy financing, helping industries reduce energy costs and transition towards green energy sources.

This strategic alliance adopts an innovative business model, which utilizes the environmental benefits from the financed projects to help Apple offset emissions from its corporate operations within India. According to an announcement on the Apple newsroom, the initiative supports the company’s operations, including its offices and two retail stores in India, aligning with Apple’s 2030 climate goal. Lisa Jackson, Apple’s Vice President of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, emphasized the importance of clean energy and water for building a sustainable business and community.

The venture not only propels India towards its renewable energy targets but also highlights the role of corporations in driving economic growth through sustainable initiatives. CleanMax, with a robust portfolio of 2GW operating renewable assets and over 750 clients across various industries, continues to be pivotal in helping Asian corporations achieve their sustainability goals. Through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions, CleanMax is committed to reducing environmental footprints and fostering long-term sustainability and economic growth.
