SHIFT FORWARD 3.0 will bring together women leaders, policymakers, and mobility experts in Bengaluru to discuss innovation, leadership, and inclusion.
The Bengaluru Section of SAE India is set to host the third edition of SHIFT FORWARD – Women Shaping Mobility on May 29, 2026, in Bengaluru. The event will bring together women leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, mobility experts, and industry professionals to discuss the future of mobility, innovation, leadership, and inclusion.
Organised annually by the Society of Automotive Engineers India (SAE India), the conference focuses on highlighting the increasing role of women across the mobility ecosystem, including automotive, transportation, clean mobility, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
This year’s edition will revolve around the theme “Transformation, Skilling and Mentoring,” reflecting the industry’s growing focus on preparing future-ready talent and strengthening leadership opportunities for women in mobility.
The event will feature keynote addresses, leadership discussions, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and mentoring initiatives aimed at encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing across the industry.
Rakhi Jain, Chairperson of SHIFT FORWARD 3.0, said the mobility industry is undergoing rapid transformation and there is a strong need to equip the next generation of women leaders with the right skills, mentorship, and professional networks. She added that the platform is intended to encourage continuous learning, confidence building, and meaningful industry engagement.
Speaking on the significance of industry collaboration, Rakesh Bidre, Chairman of SAE India Bengaluru Section, said initiatives such as SHIFT FORWARD create opportunities for professionals, students, innovators, and industry experts to exchange ideas and strengthen cooperation across the mobility ecosystem.
The organisers expect participation from senior executives, women entrepreneurs, startups, academia, policymakers, and technology professionals from across the country.
SHIFT FORWARD 3.0 aims to further its mission of building a more inclusive and future-focused mobility industry by promoting mentorship, visibility, dialogue, and collaboration among professionals and organisations.
