SEALSQ Highlights Semiconductor Role in Scaling Quantum Computing

Industry leaders gathered at the GSA European Executive Forum to explore the manufacturing, scalability, and cybersecurity challenges facing the quantum computing sector.

SEALSQ is spotlighting the role of semiconductor manufacturing in the future of quantum computing at the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) European Executive Forum in Munich.

The company’s CEO, Carlos Moreira, is moderating a panel on how quantum technologies can transition from research labs to commercial-scale production. The discussion will feature executives and researchers from Fraunhofer Microelectronics Group, Capgemini Quantum Lab, ColibriTD, and Quobly.

As the quantum computing industry moves closer to commercialization, manufacturers are increasingly looking to leverage existing semiconductor fabrication technologies. Industry experts believe established processes such as CMOS manufacturing, advanced packaging, and process control could help accelerate the production of scalable and reliable quantum processors.

The panel will examine how semiconductor infrastructure can support the development of fault-tolerant quantum systems and drive adoption across industries including cybersecurity, healthcare, finance, automotive, aerospace, and artificial intelligence.

For SEALSQ, the opportunity extends beyond quantum computing itself. The company, which develops semiconductor-based security and post-quantum cryptography solutions, sees growing demand for hardware capable of protecting digital infrastructure against future quantum-enabled cyber threats.

The company is also showcasing its partnership with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team during the event. The collaboration explores the use of advanced security and quantum-related technologies to secure connected systems and data-intensive operations.

The forum underscores the growing convergence of semiconductor manufacturing, quantum computing, and cybersecurity as the industry works toward large-scale deployment of next-generation computing technologies.
