Philips India Names Asha B V Head of IGT Software Engineering

Bengaluru-based executive steps up to lead global software operations for Image Guided Therapy Systems.

Philips India Limited’s Healthcare Division has appointed Asha B V as Senior Director and Head of Global Software Engineering for Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems. Based at the company’s Bengaluru hub, she steps into the leadership position to oversee global software engineering strategies across the IGT Systems portfolio.

Asha brings more than two decades of technical experience to the post, spanning software engineering, systems development, and programme management. She has been with Philips since 2023, most recently serving as Senior Director of Global Software Engineering.

Prior to her tenure at Philips, Asha spent over 20 years with German engineering giant Bosch across its Indian and German operations. During her time at Bosch, she held senior leadership roles, including General Manager and Deputy General Manager, directing software, algorithm, and systems engineering for automotive passive safety solutions.

In her expanded capacity, Asha will apply her experience in large-scale engineering operations and international system development to drive software innovation across Philips’ global healthcare technology division.
