Soaring order book and robust execution drive strong second-quarter PAT and revenue performance for the electronics manufacturer
Design-led electronics manufacturing services provider Cyient DLM reported a 25.8 per cent year-on-year increase in normalised profit after tax (PAT) to $1.89 million (₹15.82 crore) for the second quarter ending 30 September 2026.
The firm recorded a reported PAT of $4.07 million for the period, bolstered by an exceptional gain of $2.18 million from an earn-out reversal, alongside a 26.5 per cent year-on-year rise in total revenue to $47.05 million.
Quarterly earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 9.5 per cent year-on-year to $4.09 million, yielding an EBITDA margin of 8.7 per cent and a normalised PAT margin of 4.0 per cent.
Driven by strong demand, Cyient DLM’s order book expanded by $2.57 million quarter-on-quarter to reach a record peak of $336.79 million, supported by a healthy book-to-bill ratio of 1.6. Free cash flow stood at $2.06 million, reflecting enhanced cash generation as order intake climbed 11 per cent sequentially and 15.4 per cent year-on-year.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Velagapudi attributed the performance to consistent execution across core divisions and a record backlog, which provides strong revenue visibility. He noted that while reinforcing its core operations, the business continues to invest in high-growth segments including AI and data centre infrastructure, robotics, and semiconductor capital equipment.
Operational growth was principally led by the Aerospace and Industrial sectors, with additional momentum from Defence and Medical. The quarter also saw the addition of three new client logos across core and emerging markets.
Furthermore, Cyient DLM completed the integration of its Connecticut acquisition, Altek Electronics—now rebranded as Cyient DLM Electronics Inc.—expanding its global footprint. Moving forward, the company intends to deepen client engagements and extend its presence across the broader product lifecycle in target high-growth technology sectors.
