Taiwanese security group VIVOTEK partners with Krishnagiri facility to tap growing domestic demand.
Delta Electronics India has started manufacturing smart surveillance cameras for Taiwanese digital security manufacturer VIVOTEK at its facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The initial rollout will focus on commercial-grade cameras compliant with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) regulations, with plans to progressively introduce mid-to-high-end AI-powered models designed for smart cities and intelligent transportation systems.
Delta plans to scale up production capacity at the Krishnagiri site as demand grows. The partnership comes as restrictions on Chinese-made CCTV equipment create expanding opportunities for local manufacturing. Producing locally significantly reduces turnaround times for spare parts, enabling system integrators to satisfy domestic procurement criteria and bid for public and government contracts.
