Ravichandran Purushothaman appointed as the president of Danfoss India

Danfoss Industries Private Limited, a leader in mechanical and electronic components and solutions, has announced the appointment of Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman as its President effective February 1, 2013. Ravichandran will succeed Mr. Noel Ryan who has spearhead Danfoss India for nearly 2 years. Noel moves to head as President of Danfoss Commercial Compressors and will be based out of France.

Ravichandran is currently a key member of the Power Electronics global management team and Senior Director for Power Electronics Asia Pacific Region. He is among the key members who developed the new growth strategy for Danfoss India. Having been with Danfoss since 2002, an important aspect of Ravichandran’s role will be to establish support to the India market growth and also ensure the company’s continued growth expansion in the country.

With over 25 years of experience, Ravichandran has held roles spanning across Sales & Distribution, Business Development, Project Management, Change Management and general management functions in the India and Asia Pacific regions. He is an electronics and communication engineer who completed his Management Education program from IIM Ahmedabad. He has participated in Strategic Leadership & International Business Programs in European Business schools.

Ravichandran is one of the key members of CII national task force on cold chain development. He has been an integral part of CII’s committees which focus on education, energy & green building.
