Connectors are an integral part of every electronic device, as no circuit is complete without a connector. The current global trend in the industrial connection devices domain is miniaturisation. Due to space constraints, compact devices delivering the same amount of power, efficiency and energy as their larger counterparts, are catching on.
With this trend being prevalent in India too, there has been considerable growth in the connector market, with the number of connector brands increasing. With the rise in the number of multinational brands, domestic manufacturers are finding it a little difficult to compete, since manufacturing a component in India is still more expensive than doing so in China.
