Monday, September 09, 2013: Aeroflex Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp., recently announced the introduction of its 5800 Series ATE system in the Indian automotive manufacturing market. It has assigned the responsibility of distribution and sales of its product in India to iNETest Technologies India Pvt. Limited.
This Aeroflex 5800 Series, a multi-configuration, multi-functional test system is an answer to the complex requirements of today’s electronic manufacturing segment, which encompasses automotive sector, contract electronics manufacturing, defence and medical device manufacturing. These sectors are crucial for the country.
The series offers an open approach to software, facilitating easier integration of hardware and instrumentation from third-party suppliers and allows cost-effective configuration of one machine for several test environments.
Printed circuit board (PCB) designs are becoming more complex with the constant change in technology, hence, the work of specifying test equipment is rendered difficult for a manufacturer of PCB. Separate machines are required for performing multiple types of tests.
But, the problem is several machines will occupy huge space and lower the profit margin, therefore, with the use of a tester with an open architecture such as the 5800 Series, the problem can be resolved. The 5800 Series of testers includes three body styles, the 5860, 5830 and 5820.
