ELECTRONICS FOR YOU EXPO Western India 2013 Shows silver lining to electronics industry

buyersellermeetJanuary, Monday 20, 2014: The EFY Expo Western India 2013 edition, which concluded on November 23, 2013, was a resounding success as it received an overwhelming response from the electronics industry in the region. The event that took place in Mumbai from November 21-23, with 57 exhibitors, attracted over five thousand visitors during the three-day-long event. Participating exhibitors were extremely satisfied with the amazing response from the visitors. The Expo covered the entire ecosystem of electronics under one roof.

Ramesh Chopra, executive chairman, EFY Group, said, “The overwhelming number of trade visitors was an indicator that these expos can help the electronics industry grow and unleash its potential, faster. The EFY Expo Western India is on its way to becoming one of the most anticipated shows in the electronics industry.”

This expo, which targeted electronics manufacturing companies, design engineers, traders and companies with innovative electronic products, was also successful in building confidence amongst the major players in the western electronics industry, many of whom have already booked space for the next edition of the expo. “The successful debut of the EFY Expo Western India 2013 edition has given us confidence. It was an enabling platform for both suppliers and customers,” said Sujata Soparkar, managing director, Intron.

Visitors and exhibitors were also happy about the special services provided at the expo like the VIP lounge, a dedicated meeting area, free Internet access, free conferences, etc. The first 500 business visitors were also given a special gift—a free Electronics Yellow Pages worth Rs 1000.

The expo featured a diverse and comprehensive product range. The event witnessed the participation of manufacturers and service providers in the field of components, motors/drives, cables, assemblies and subsystems, ED/EDA, T&M technology, displays and power supplies. In the fields of production equipment, the technologies on display were for packaging, material processing, manufacturing equipment and logistics for PCBs, cable processing, soldering, etc.

With extensive publicity of the show, the right people could be reached. The response to the show exceeded all expectations.
