Saturday, January 25, 2014: LG Electronics has been named to the 2014 Global 100 World’s Most Sustainable Corporations Index, an annual ranking produced by Corporate Knights, a media and investment advisory company.
In its 10th year, the Global 100 list, announced during the World Economic Forum in Davos, has come to be recognized as the Gold Standard in corporate sustainability analysis. Companies named to the Global 100 index are the top overall sustainability performers in their respective industrial sectors.

Global 100 companies are scored on 12 quantitative key performance indicators that range from energy and water use, to product leadership to employee compensation and corporate tax strategy. LG is among only a handful of companies in its industry listed on the 2014 Global 100 (http://global100.org/global-100-index/).
Being named to the Global 100 Index is another prime example of LG’s sustainability leadership. In December 2013, LG received the Millennium Development Goals Award from the United Nations Global Compact Local Network for its global social program, the LG Hope Series. Also in 2013, LG earned Marriott International’s 2013 Supplier Sustainability Award and was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year, the second year in a row the company has received this coveted honor.
