Texas Instruments launched its credit card-sized, low cost TMDX5502EZDSP and TMDX5509EZDSP development tools—the eZdsp, in April 2011. This makes TMS320C5000 digital signal processor (DSP) development easy and accessible for developers, hobbyists, researchers and students.
Features and USP: The eZdsp development tools for C5502 and C5509A DSPs do not require any cables, allowing developers to simply plug the tool into the USB port of a laptop or workstation for hassle free development and a simple out of the box experience. It also features up to 300 MHz of performance for the C5502 and 200 MHz for the C5509A. Containing a broad mix of interfacing options, these eZdsp USB development tools are ideal for applications such as voice, audio, musical instruments and accessories, medical monitoring and fingerprint biometrics.
