In April 2011, Agilent introduced its PXA signal analyser, which the company claims to be the industry’s highest performance millimeter-wave signal analyser, covering frequencies up to 50 GHz.
Features and USP: The PXA singnal analyser can deliver a level of performance at millimeter wave frequencies, unmatched by competing solutions, offering most accurate, sensitive and frequency stable signal analysis. It has the ability to measure small signals in the presence of very large signals, which enable customers to develop the most advanced radar, surveillance and wireless communications systems. Its ability to cover 325 GHz and beyond with external mixing allows customers to develop technology for advanced radio astronomy research and new imaging techniques used in the medical and air travel industries. The robust hardware design of the PXA can also deliver outstanding sensitivity and a wide dynamic range. Its price ranges from US$ 51,900 for the 3.6 GHz option to US$ 91,000 for the 50 GHz option.
