Diesel generator manufacturer, Sterling Generators, has announced that it has made remarkable progress in its exports business, globally. Earlier, the company’s operations were limited to middle eastern countries. However, over a period of time, it expanded into south east Asia, Australia and Africa.
Sanjay Jadhav, president, Sterling and Wilson Powergen Pvt Ltd, said, “Very few Indian players have made a mark in the international market for DG sets. Sterling has been operating in many countries over the past six to seven years, and has made significant progress in competing on quality and delivery in Europe, Asia and China. Today, Sterling is a known brand in many countries and is rapidly gaining momentum due to its solution-providing abilities. The company takes up the complete responsibility of design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of projects at breakneck speed. We want to be a global player competing against the best in the world; we have the confidence, talent and infrastructure in place to achieve our goals in the coming years.”
Given that the government of India launched the ‘Make in India’ initiative to encourage companies to manufacture their products locally, Sterling Generators is successfully strengthening and expanding its export business, which covers its complete range of DG sets starting from 10kVA to 3300kVA. The company has installations of DG sets in more than 30 countries, with more than 150 productive installations.
As part of its future plans, Sterling Generators intends to export about 25 per cent of its current capacity and also hopes to become a more prominent player in Africa,middle east, southeast Asia and Australia.
