Avnet India has said that it has come out with a product testing service for electronics systems product design in the country. Customers can text their product designs at Avnet Design Centre and the company will offer technical advice and design support to customers and this will reduce the number of design iterations and the product certifying process at the authorized labs.
What is even more exciting that this service is only available in India and one of the important thing is that since the Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) has made compulsory for certain electronics and IT product categories to mandatorily register with BIS for ensuring safety standards. And for doing that one has to get the product tested for certification.
India as a destination for electronic manufacturing is growing fast and such labs will be very helpful for many customers who would like to be a part of this manufacturing circle.
According to the company the multiple levels of design-support to its customers is a market differentiator so that it can finally sell more electronic components and semiconductor ICs to its Indian customer, that’s where the objective of Avnet lies.
