Suprajit Engineering Launches New Technology Centre At Bangalore

It will house a complete range of test and development labs for Mechanical, Electronics and Electro-Mechanical products

Indian automotive cable manufacturer Suprajit Engineering Ltd has announced the launch of its new Suprajit Technology centre (STC) in Bangalore.

Suprajit will completely relocate and house the current STC from the Corporate office in the next couple of months into the new facility, which it says is significantly larger and comprehensive.

The company said that this centre with about 60 seats will further strengthen the current core teams with additional engineering resources.

It will house a complete range of test and development labs for Mechanical, Electronics and Electro-Mechanical products. It will have a full-fledged proto and small batch production facilities, as well. This centre is housed on a 17000 Sq.ft facility in the Jigani Industrial area.

Ajith Rai, Founder and Chairman said ” We launched our ‘Made in India – Made for the World’ campaign years ago to go global in our aspiration to be a leader in manufactured proprietary parts. It’s now our aspiration to be able to also develop and commercialise world-class products at our STC for the global markets in dynamically changing market scenarios. The new facility is dedicated to a team that has grown tremendously internally with multiple successful product launches in recent years and adds an exciting new dimension to the Suprajit story. STC ensures that we can not only support the changing needs of our many customers across segments and geographies but also break into new avenues of growth.”

Ashutosh Rai, Head(STC), said, “The purpose of STC is to transform Suprajit from a manufacturing-centric organisation into a technology-driven organisation. Suprajit should be considered as a strong design partner of proprietary parts in technically challenging environments and industries, with our focus being on mechanical systems, display and infotainment systems, and control systems. The ultimate goal is for STC to rapidly conceptualise, design, prototype, test and validate new products that become the next cornerstone product line of the company.”

“The new Centre will be fully integrated, with the ability to take an idea from concept all the way through to first batch production under one roof. Suprajit will be in a unique position as an extremely lean and frugal manufacturing outfit that is complimented by a highly effective new product design capability, executing the complete cycle for the customer from concept to commercialisation,” he added.

Suprajit Engineering also is optimistic about the company’s performance this year (FY22). The company is maintaining its guidance for EBITDA margins at 14-16 per cent, Ajith Rai, Chairman told media.
