Indium: Lim Becomes Sr Global Product Manager

  • In 2007, Sze Pei Lim joined Indium Corporation as an Area Technical Manager

US-based Indium Corporation, a leading global supplier to the electronics market, recently announced the promotion of Sze Pei Lim to the role of Senior Global Product Manager, Semiconductor and Advanced Materials. The official statement released by the company said: Lim leads all aspects of the global Semiconductor and Advanced Materials product line, including strategic planning, product line roadmaps, promotional activities, pricing, and channel development.

Indium further said that Lim works closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and technical support teams around the world to develop and grow Indium Corporation’s world-class offerings.

The company statement underlined her role as a task force member of the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) Packaging Technology Integration Group and as a part of the organizing committee for the International Electronics Manufacturing Technology (IEMT). Indium considers her instrumental in the development of Indium Corporation’s Chinese semiconductor business and team.

 

Career

It is interesting to note that Lim is an alumnus of the National University of Singapore, where she majored in industrial chemistry with a focus on polymers. In the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, she joined Indium Corporation in 2007 as an Area Technical Manager. It was the time when she developed the Southeast Asia Technical Support team.

Indium promoted Lim to the post of Technical Manager (SEA) in 2013. She then became the Regional Product Manager for Semiconductor in 2015. A fluent English, Malay and Mandarin speaker, Lim has authored and presented many technical papers.

It is noteworthy that for the last two years, Lim is serving as its secretary to the executive committee of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Electronics Packaging Society Malaysia Chapter. Moreover, she has co-chaired a number of industry projects and road mapping initiatives over the past five years.
