ODU from Mühldorf has launched a new category five connector for the transmission of data under difficult environmental conditions as well as to satisfy the increasing demands in the railroad technology sector.
Features and USP: The connector can transfer data at the rate of up to 100 Mbit/100 MHz. Its EMC protection of 360° ensures that the data transmission is impervious to outside influences. It also guarantees more than 50,000 mating cycles. The springwire technology inside the connector also ensures the highest level of transmission reliability in the face of vibration and temperature fluctuations. The use of light materials such as aluminium for the housing allows weight savings even in the smallest components. It can be assembled to common data rate cables and certification from GHMT makes the new connection system perfect for use under the most severe environmental conditions.
