EV registrations in September 2022 were driven by E2Vs and passenger-type E3Vs, which together accounted for 92.35% of total registrations in the month.
On the whole, the overall EV sales in this month increased by 6.2% MoM reaching 93,605 units. In addition, there was a y-o-y leap of ~173%.

Uttar Pradesh continues to retain the top spot of EV share with 18% of overall sales, followed by Maharashtra with 13%, Rajasthan with 9%, and Karnataka with 8%.
This was followed by Bihar (7%), Gujarat (6%), and Delhi (6%). Karnataka witnessed a decline of ~14% in registrations this month from August 2022.
