Sales Up by 2.1 Percent for the North American PCB Industry

As per the findings of North American Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Statistical Program, IPC has announced the book-to-bill ratio which stands at 1.03 for the month of April 2022.

The total PCB shipments have gone up by 2.1 percent as compared to last year. However, in comparison to the preceding month, the shipments in April have fallen by 20.4 percent.

Shawn DuBravac, IPC’s chief economist commented, “The disconnect between shipments and orders is likely driven by backlogs for other components. Companies are disinclined to place PCB orders if they are waiting on other components. Despite strong shipments, the book-to-bill remains above 1.”
