The company, which has been present in India since 2008, also mentioned that the expansion aligns with its objective of being closer to customers, empowering engineers, and building stronger partnerships, as the country emerges as a hub for electronics innovation.

Customers will be able to interact with local teams and view live demonstrations of high-performance interconnect solutions.

As part of the expansion, Samtec has nearly doubled its local workforce and introduced a three-region sales model covering the South, North-West and Bengaluru to enable “more focused regional engagement and closer alignment with customers”.

New hires include Field Sales Engineers, Market Development Managers and Customer Support Specialists.

A key addition is the appointment of Shushil Kumar as the company’s first India-based Field Application Engineer, who will provide design support, technical consultation and testing assistance.

Furthermore, marketing initiatives in India are being led by Reynold Paul, focusing on localised content and digital outreach through the newly launched Samtec India LinkedIn channel.

Ashutosh Agarwal, Director of Distribution at Samtec India, highlighted in a LinkedIn post that the new office marks “a step forward in strengthening our presence, expanding our team, and getting closer to our customers”.

In addition, Samtec continues to work with Source Technologi and Integrated Electronics, particularly in Bengaluru and the broader Indian region, further strengthening its regional support network.

In a written statement, Samtec India confirmed, “The Samtec India team is here to help customers, small and large. However, Samtec relies on our global authorised distributors, such as Arrow, Avnet, DigiKey, Mouser, TTI, and others, to expand our footprint and deepen relationships with key OEMs. Regional and industry-focused distributors help reach specialised customer bases as well.”
