Our ranking is based on the revenues of the companies in 2011-12 and 2010-11 (for some firms revenues of current FY were not available). Please note, ranking has been done based on the LED division revenues only.
Tuesday, December 10, 2012: Major companies like Philips, Havells, Osram, Wipro, Crompton & Greaves, Bajaj, Halonix, Surya, GE, Sujana, Sahasra, etc could not be ranked as these are multi-product companies and their standalone balance sheets for LED divisions were not available.
The source of this survey is the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) websites. The revenues were also verified by individual companies.
