  • Shuzlan will provide charging solutions; the joint force will aim to facilitate charging for public transportation across India

Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer EKA Mobility recently announced its partnership with Shuzlan Energy, a leading charging infrastructure provider. As per the partnership agreement, Shuzlan Energy will be one of the official electric charging solution providers for EKA’s 9-meter electric bus and will launch charging stations of 30kW, 60kW and 120kW for institutional customers across India.

The company noted that the maiden batch of the EKA 9 electric bus will be soon deployed on roads as it has already received all the necessary certifications from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). This bus, which has a seating capacity of 32 individuals, is touted to have a range of up to 200 km on a single full charge.

EKA Mobility Chair, Sudhir Mehta commented: “As we move towards green mobility, our solutions are at the leading edge to help cities around the country to discover the value of electrification and ensure a smooth transition by enabling a strong, reliable and sustainable ecosystem. Our partnership with Shuzlan Energy will strengthen the charging infrastructure for our e-buses, allowing customers to electrify their fleets rapidly and more conveniently. We look forward to providing a wide range of necessary solutions and technologies in an integrated, streamlined, and operationally efficient way to democratise EVs with best-in-class TCO (total cost of ownership) solutions, and sustainable ecosystems.”

The director of Shuzlan Energy, Shuel Bhamla remarked, “We are overjoyed to partner with EKA Mobility on this green venture. We are on a mission to deliver sustainably smart e-mobility solutions through our charging stations. We have also started the deployment of charging stations in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat. By 2024, we aim to deploy 10,000 charging stations across India. As an ever-growing charging point operator, we are committed to building an ecosystem of reliable AC & DC chargers in India that will revolutionize e-mobility across the country.”

Shuzlan Energy is a leading Mumbai-based charging infrastructure provider and EKA is an automotive & technology company aiming to create a new global CV electric mobility paradigm. EKA’s vision is to bring reliable and efficient mobility solutions to the masses.
