The global weather monitoring market is expected to grow from USD 2.1 billion in 2024 to USD 4.8 billion by 2034.
Aimtron Electronics Limited has entered into an original equipment manufacturing engagement with climate technology firm Aurassure to produce IoT enabled weather and environmental monitoring systems in India, as demand for real time environmental intelligence accelerates globally.
The engagement comes amid rapid growth in the global weather monitoring systems market, valued at about USD 2.1 billion in 2024 and projected to reach nearly USD 4.8 billion by 2034. Growth is being driven by rising focus on climate risk management, infrastructure monitoring and data led urban planning, alongside increasing adoption of IoT based sensor networks for continuous, hyperlocal monitoring.
Under the arrangement, Aimtron will manufacture Aurassure outdoor monitoring stations that collect real time data on particulate matter, gases, temperature, humidity, rainfall and wind parameters. The IoT enabled devices transmit continuous data to cloud platforms for analysis and monitoring. All products are designed and manufactured in India, with production facilities located in Odisha. Aimtron will also support product design, engineering optimisation and manufacturability.
The partnership addresses growing concerns around air quality and environmental risks. The World Health Organization has repeatedly identified air pollution as a major global health risk, while data from India’s Central Pollution Control Board shows air quality in several urban and industrial areas frequently exceeds acceptable limits.
Aurassure platforms aim to close this gap by providing hyperlocal, real time environmental visibility across cities. The integrated hardware and software enable users to track trends, receive alerts and make data driven decisions for compliance, urban planning and sustainability initiatives.
