Aimtron Group launches a ₹1 billion subsidiary in Gujarat to expand electronics and mechatronics manufacturing, targeting EVs, renewable energy, defence, and drone sectors.
Aimtron Group has officially incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Aimtron Mechatronics Pvt Ltd, in Gujarat, marking a significant expansion in the group’s electronics and mechatronics footprint. The Board has committed ₹30 million as the subsidiary’s initial share capital. At the same time, the group successfully raised ₹1 billion through the issuance of convertible warrants on a preferential basis, underscoring strong investor confidence in its technology-driven vision.
The greenfield facility is expected to create 250–300 direct jobs in its initial phase, eventually scaling to more than 1,000, while generating approximately 2,500 indirect jobs across the supply chain, logistics, and allied services. This development signals a substantial contribution to local employment and industrial growth in Gujarat.
Aimtron Mechatronics will focus on delivering end-to-end mechatronic solutions, targeting high-growth sectors such as electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy, defence, and drone technology. Mechatronics, which integrates mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, and control systems, enables the design and manufacture of smart products and processes.
The establishment of this subsidiary strengthens Aimtron’s position as a key hub for electronics and smart systems manufacturing in India. The investment reflects a strategic ambition to scale domestic capabilities in electronics design, integration, and automation, while positioning Gujarat as an emerging centre for electronics innovation. With this move, Aimtron aims to meet the growing demand for advanced mechatronic solutions, supporting India’s transition to high-tech industries and sustainable technologies.
