Leading global technology company Aptiv recently inaugurated a new $14 million technical centre campus in Bengaluru. With a focus on developing safer, greener and more connected mobility solutions, the Aptiv Technical Center in India has been developed as a key engineering and software hub. The 237,000 sqft facility was inaugurated at Brigade Tech Gardens, Whitefield, in the presence of the global leadership team and the employees. Notably, the Aptiv Technical Center India (TCI) presently employs over 2,000 personnel focused on developing and delivering products and software-enabled solutions in cybersecurity, advanced safety, connectivity and digital cockpit capabilities. The company plans to aggressively grow its workforce over the next five years.

The site serves as a centre of excellence for ADAS platforms and technologies and digital cockpit solutions. In addition to meeting the needs of commercial and passenger vehicle OEMs in India, the company specified that TCI will support OEMs across all global regions.

The official release pointed out that the campus brings together a broad range of technology, innovation and capabilities in a modern environment designed to accommodate the needs of its future workforce. It has an innovation centre and electrical labs to support the development of critical technology products.
