Empowering villages with drone-powered livelihoods, AVPL partners with the Uttar Pradesh Government to place a trained drone entrepreneur in every community.
AVPL International has joined hands with the Uttar Pradesh government to establish Drone Planet Suvidha Kendras across the state’s villages. The rollout is part of the CM Yuva Udhami Yojana, which aims to equip young people and women in the state with skills, tools, and business support to run drone-based services. Each selected candidate will receive training, a drone, and guidance to prepare a business plan for use under the scheme.
The Drone Planet Suvidha Kendra model is designed for scale and will provide precision spraying, certification courses, digital farm advisory, agri-input support and new livelihood options. These services aim to promote safer and more efficient farming practices.
The company stated that the initiative is a part of AVPL International’s national mission to create a drone entrepreneur in every Indian village. It already operates in 16 states and runs 70 centres of excellence.
With Uttar Pradesh coming on board, AVPL expects to enable thousands of rural entrepreneurs to offer precision agriculture, digital advisory services, agri-retail services, and other drone-led solutions. Work on establishing the new centres is scheduled to begin shortly.
“Our goal is simple: every village should have at least one drone entrepreneur,” said Dr Preet Sandhu, Co-founder and Managing Director at AVPL International. “The partnership with Uttar Pradesh brings us closer to that vision by empowering rural youth and women to participate in India’s fast-growing drone economy.”
