Gogoro, a global leader in battery-swapping ecosystems, recently announced a strategic B2B initiative and partnership with EV-as-a-Service platform, Zypp Electric. The partners aim to use battery swapping to push logistics fleets and last-mile deliveries to shift to electric vehicles. It is noteworthy that currently, the long recharge time of batteries and the scarcity of charging stations cause major hindrances to the last-mile deliveries going electric.
As per the deal, the companies will launch a battery-swapping B2B pilot in Delhi in December 2022. It will enable last-mile delivery fleets to electrify through Gogoro Network Battery Swapping, said the official statement.
