The major defence PSU Bharat Electronics (BEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Infotek Software and Systems (i-TEK RFID) on April 16, 2026.
i-TEK works in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) segment and is an IoT-based digital transformation solution provider.
The Company aims to co-develop and deploy advanced digital transformation solutions by using Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technologies.
The MoU, exchanged between Hemavathy Muthusamy, GM, NWCS, and Ashim Ashok Patil, Managing Director & CEO, i-TEK RFID, will address key industry challenges by introducing scalable, technology-driven solutions.
BEL is focusing on its diversification efforts into Civil Aviation, Unmanned Systems, Railway
& Metro Systems, Network & Cyber Security, Smart City Solutions, Space Electronics, Arms & Ammunition, Seekers, Medical Electronics and Artificial Intelligence.
The Navratna defence PSU recently reported a turnover of around ₹267.5 billion for the financial year 2025–26 and their total order book stands at approximately ₹740 billion as of April 1, 2026.
With this MoU, i-TEK will leverage the strong presence of BEL and expand their business further in the transformation space and thus will enhance their revenue growth going ahead.
