TNN in a recent report stated that Bhel Trichy has added e-mobility (electric mobility) to its business portfolio as part of diversification measures. The process of prototype development and obtaining necessary certifications to foray into e-mobility is being carried out to capitalise on the emerging business opportunities. R Rajamanohar, executive director, Bhel Trichy shared the policy decision during the independence day celebrations.

Official sources said to TNN that Bhel would aggressively focus on revamping its infrastructure and operations to produce e-mobility products. To address the growing needs in the mass transportation sector of e-mobility, the company may take up largescale production of non-conventional vehicles by utilising its expertise in heavy engineering and fabrication sectors.
Official sources aware about the happening informed that Bhel’s welding research institute, a research centre in the field of welding and allied sector, could play a supportive role in the maharatna firm’s foray into e-mobility sector.
