To boost tech-based solutions in CCTV camera equipment, manufacturer CP PLUS has joined hands with L&T Semiconductor Technologies under the guidance of the IT ministry.

On Monday, Larsen & Toubro Semiconductor Technologies Limited (LTSCT) inked a significant deal with CP PLUS, an Aditya Infotech subsidiary headquartered in Noida, to create and provide advanced systems-on-chip (SoC) and other solutions for CCTV cameras.

This partnership is focused on creating homegrown Indian IP SoCs (Systems on Chips) and AI-powered IP CCTV products. It seeks to bolster India’s position in the surveillance industry while showcasing a focus on security and self-sufficiency.

Furthermore, the companies have claimed that this collaboration aligns with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) security and regulatory standards and aims to produce products meant for domestic as well as international markets.

However, no financial information regarding the partnership was disclosed by the companies.

Several dignitaries, including Dr Sunita Verma from MeitY, Mr Aditya Khemka (Aditya Infotech), Mr Sandeep Kumar, Mr Sanjay Gupta, Mr S.M. Sundaresan (all from LTSCT), and Mr Manish Sharma (FICCI’s Electronics Manufacturing Committee Chair), were present at the signing ceremony.

Dr Sunita Verma remarked that the partnership is in line with the Make in India and Design in India initiatives while supporting the supply chain according to MeitY’s policies.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive of LTSCT, stated that the collaboration would prioritise data security. He mentioned that LTSCT’s semiconductor technology and CP PLUS’s market knowledge and manufacturing capabilities would be combined to create enduring, India-designed-and-manufactured SoCs.

Mr. Aditya Khemka, MD of Aditya Infotech, praised the potential of Indian surveillance technologies to significantly impact GDP and job creation. He noted that the partnership has a solid commitment to data and cybersecurity in Indian and global markets.
