Can Cyient DLM’s new leadership move unlock bigger AI and global manufacturing ambitions? Ramakanth Alapati joins to drive expansion across emerging technologies and international markets.
Cyient DLM has appointed Ramakanth Alapati as its President and Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, strengthening its leadership team to support expansion in international markets and emerging technology sectors.
Based in Dallas, United States, Alapati will be responsible for leading strategic growth programmes, identifying opportunities in developing markets and expanding the company’s global customer base.
The appointment comes as Cyient DLM seeks to increase its presence in sectors linked to advanced manufacturing, data centres, artificial intelligence (AI), infrastructure, and next-generation computing technologies.
Alapati brings more than two decades of experience in advanced electronics manufacturing, precision packaging, capital equipment and deep-technology industries. His experience spans the wider technology manufacturing supply chain, including large-scale production environments and advanced computing platforms.
He has worked in companies like Amkor Technology, GlobalFoundries, and Micron Technology, starting his journey as a Process Engineer and moving on to lead the businesses.
According to Cyient, his role will focus on strengthening manufacturing capabilities and supporting expansion in high-growth areas related to AI, computing systems, and related technology applications.
Cyient DLM Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajendra Velagapudi said the appointment comes at an important stage in the company’s growth plans and highlighted Alapati’s experience in technology manufacturing ecosystems and precision production.
Alapati said he would work with the leadership team to expand the company’s international presence and broaden customer engagement while supporting long-term growth objectives.
His academic background includes a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas, the US, an engineering degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and completion of an executive leadership development programme at Harvard Business School.
