Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has planned to collaborate with leading Taiwanese universities for cutting-edge research and knowledge exchange in semiconductor and chip design.
The university will visit Taiwan to formalise the agreement.
This will be a substantial project to improve university commitments. The MoUs will outline the collaborative projects’ terms and conditions, emphasising the undertaking’s gravity. Three key academic departments, including the School of Data Science, Computer Science and the Institute of Engineering and Technology of DAVV, will play a pivotal role in this partnership.
‘Under this ambitious endeavour, professors and postgraduate students from these departments will collaborate with select educational institutions, research centres and universities in Taiwan. The collaboration extends beyond sharing laboratory equipment, data and research content. It envisions a comprehensive exchange programme, enabling students from both countries to engage in PhD research on-site,’ said Dr Rajeev Dixit, director of the college development council at DAVV.
Concurrently, DAVV seeks to enhance its student body’s cultural exposure by introducing them to Taiwanese culture and traditions. The university intends to foster a mutual cultural exchange through a planned student and faculty exchange program. DAVV has initiated contact with Taiwan’s education division and collaborates with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre to facilitate this endeavour.
