Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited, a prominent Indian manufacturer of electric two and three-wheelers, has appointed Debashis Mitra as the President of its 3-wheeler division. Mitra, a seasoned professional with over thirty years of experience in India’s automotive industry, offers a wealth of expertise and leadership that aligns with Kinetic Green’s vision. Known for its contributions to India’s electric three-wheeler market, the company emphasizes robust in-house research and development and supports the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Currently, Kinetic Green is broadening its offerings to encompass the L5 passenger category, supplementing its existing L3 passenger and cargo segments.
Mitra’s illustrious career has seen him in key leadership positions at distinguished automotive firms, including AltiGreen, Greaves Cotton, Mercedes Benz, and Toyota Kirloskar. His strategic insights and transformative initiatives have notably propelled the growth and success of these organizations.
In his new capacity, Mitra will spearhead Kinetic Green’s strategic expansion plans, focusing on enhancing the company’s network and market penetration in the fast-evolving electric three-wheeler (E3W) sector. He will manage the entire Profit and Loss responsibilities for the 3-wheeler Strategic Business Unit (SBU), working closely with R&D and operations/sourcing teams to boost efficiency and foster innovation.
With ambitious plans for the fiscal year 2024-25, Kinetic Green aims to double its dealership network and achieve a sales goal of 20,000 E2W units. Mitra’s leadership is expected to be instrumental in achieving these targets and strengthening Kinetic Green’s leadership in the electric vehicle market.
