Dixon Technologies has signed a deal with Tech Mahindra to deploy AI-enabled Industry Automation across all of Dixon’s manufacturing plants in India.
Tech Mahindra has been appointed as the digital transformation partner for Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. The engagement covers deployment of AI-enabled Industry 4.0 automation at all Dixon manufacturing plants and R&D centres in India.
Dixon Technologies is a contract manufacturer for electronic products. The company manufactures consumer electronics, appliances, mobile phones, and lighting products. Its facilities are located across multiple Indian states.
The scope of work includes automation of production systems, elimination of data silos, and deployment of smart factory platforms. Tech Mahindra will provide systems to improve process visibility and enable real-time data integration across operations.
“At Dixon, we are advancing our adoption of digital tools across our manufacturing units,” said Atul B. Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies. “This partnership will enable structured implementation of Industry 4.0 systems at scale.”
Tech Mahindra stated that its digital strategy for Dixon will include integration across departments, aligned capital investments, and phased rollout of AI-enabled automation. Key focus areas include data consolidation, predictive monitoring, and production cycle automation.
“Manufacturing businesses need to ensure resilience across production processes,” said Atul Soneja, Chief Operating Officer at Tech Mahindra. “We will support Dixon with AI and smart factory frameworks to drive automation.”
The partnership follows increased adoption of Industry 4.0 practices by electronics manufacturers in India. Regulatory emphasis on domestic production and use of embedded intelligence is driving large-scale automation initiatives.
