Tuesday, September 30, 2014: ECIL CMD P Sudhakar is the the ‘Electronics Man of the Year’. The chairman and managing director of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) was presented the coveted award at the recently held ELCINA-EFY Awards.
ELCINA is one the oldest and also largest association which endorses the electronic manufacturing sector in India. ELCINA, along with EFY, has announced the award to acknowledge the excellent contribution by individuals in the growth of the electronics sector in India.
Sudhakar was appointed as the chairman and managing director of ECIL on 16 September, 2013. He has been associated with the organisation since 1979 and prior to his appointment as CMD, he was holding the position of Office of the Director (Technical) and acting CMD.
Sudhakar, after graduating from Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, completed his Masters in Integrated Electronics and Circuits from IIT, Delhi. His specialisation has been in the areas of design, development, manufacturing, testing and commissioning. He has been attached to several important projects by ECIL, undertaken in national interest.
