Driving industrial automation, healthcare innovation and robotics integration across Asia‑Pacific, edge AI moves from concept to deployment as EDOM Technology leverages NVIDIA IGX Thor.
Taiwan’s EDOM Technology has announced further integration of edge computing and intelligent system capabilities through the NVIDIA IGX Thor Development Kit, aiming to support industrial deployment of safety‑critical computing platforms.
The company said the initiative would strengthen Taiwan’s and the wider Asia‑Pacific region’s competitiveness in physical AI applications.
The NVIDIA IGX Thor platform, powered by the Blackwell graphics processing unit (GPU) architecture, supports Multi‑Instance GPU (MIG) technology, enabling multiple AI workloads to run simultaneously.
It delivers up to 5,581 FP4 TFLOPS of AI compute performance and incorporates the Arm Neoverse CPU architecture to balance high-throughput inference with real-time data processing.
Functional safety features, compute monitoring and protection mechanisms are included to enhance operational stability, alongside high‑speed I/O connectivity and expansion interfaces for sensor integration.
EDOM highlighted its system integration expertise, offering hardware and software architecture planning, engineering services, and consulting for safety‑critical and sensor‑rich environments.
The company also provides support in peripheral sensor selection, control module integration and ecosystem partner enablement. These services are intended to reduce technical barriers and accelerate product development cycles.
Applications for the IGX Thor platform span smart healthcare, industrial automation and autonomous robotics. In manufacturing, it supports real‑time quality monitoring, predictive maintenance and production line management.
In healthcare, it enables imaging analysis and clinical decision support, while in robotics, it enhances navigation and obstacle avoidance through multi‑sensor data fusion.
EDOM said it will continue to expand integration services by combining hardware expertise with partner collaboration, supporting customers from proof‑of‑concept through to commercial rollout.
