Electronics-Maker AMETEK Opens New Facility in Bengaluru

  • The new office also houses a centre of excellence, service labs and calibration labs
  • The Engineering Center of Excellence with R&D labs will support AMETEK’s business units across its global network

After starting its operations in 2009, electronics leader AMETEK India recently inaugurated its new, state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru to provide enhanced support to its customers across India and around the world. The company believes that the new office, which also houses service and calibration labs, will enhance the company’s ability to support its customers. This new facility is an expansion of AMETEK’s innovation hub for numerous industries including aerospace & defence, automotive, food, pharma and packaging, high-precision metrology, material analyses, oil and gas, and power. The company’s executive leadership team was present at the opening event last week.

Notably, the facility also houses a Centre of Excellence that features the latest products from numerous AMETEK businesses, including Spectro, Taylor Hobson, Land, Atlas, Brookfield, Zygo, Compliance Test Solutions, Programmable Power, Lloyd, Precitech TMC and AMT. In-person demonstrations of their products and solutions will help these businesses showcase their capabilities.

The company pointed out that its well-equipped ‘Engineering Center of Excellence’ with R&D laboratories within the new facility will support AMETEK’s business units across its global network for design, development, and prototype testing activities.

Pleased with the latest expansion, AMETEK India Country Manager, Sadanand Patil remarked: “It represents a significant milestone for AMETEK’s operations in India and reflects the importance of our commitment to our customers in the region. We appreciate this opportunity to provide our customers with a wider range of services and support.”

“India is an important region for AMETEK, headquartered in Bengaluru with branch offices across the country,” stated Patil. He specified that the new Bengaluru facility had a service centre and calibration services supported by over 600 dedicated employees. “We will continue to invest in India and expand to serve our customers,” he assured.
